This is in essence a blockbuster and also proves that they don't always need a big budget. The premise is simple an Italian NATO officer Terenzio (played by Stefano Cassetti) takes hostages some of the passengers, and part of the crew of a plane that would travel to Moscow. The hijacker orders the pilot to fly east. During the flight he has to explain to them that people are mysteriously dying as soon as the sun comes up. So for now and as soon as they learn more about it, they have to fly, yes you know it, into the night. The passengers and crew of this plane would have to learn to work as a team and trust each other in order to survive, while they travel against the clock.

The title is the hook of the story that's going to have you grabbing onto your pillow, sheets, or chair, depending on your binge preferences.

This could have been easily a July film that would have captivated the international box office, although it would have probably been a US production with probably The Rock as the star of the film. But thanks to Netflix this one comes from Belgium with an international cast.

Something that catches my attention is that it was created by Jason George and upon doing some research on him I find his name linked as a writer of a lot of Netflix series from different countries. His first credits as a writer are from the ABC series Nashville two episodes from the first season of this country music story. Which I loved and watched till the very end. He also worked for The Blacklist for NBC before jumping to Netflix where he worked on Ingobernable (México), Narcos (US), The Protector (Turkey), The Gift (Turkey). This guy obviously has some experience and Netflix really trusts him. We should do the same in this case.

The first season consist of six episodes with a good pacing that would hook you up without you feeling dragged by it, and by the end of the final episode you would just wish to have the second season as soon as possible. There is no "Netflix 4th episode" rule on this series, from its first sequence gives you the premise and invites you to stick around for the rest of the season.

Into The Night at the time of this post the series still hasn't been renewed but I'm pretty confident that it would get the green light. As I mention in other reviews is hard to know for international series when they get the order for another season or if they get cancelled.
