In the tradition of Sex Education and The End Of The F* World, teenage British comedies that were much more than meets the eye. This North American comedy is also much more than meets the eye.
Sterling and Blair Wesley (played by Maddie Phillips and Anjelica Bette Fellini) are two normal (ish) high school twins, living the Christian way of life, between their private Christian school, following their parents rules, well breaking them once in a while and learning from their new boss Bowser (played by Kadeem Hardison) who runs an ice cream shop but also is a bounty hunter. Hunting criminals that are wanted by the police and are being offered a reward to whoever brings them to justice. The twins by chance meet him and help him catch a criminal, who knew this two Christian high school students had what it takes to be bounty hunters.
The series has an amazing first episode and from that moment on things just get better. This girls would now have to learn how to balance their life between school, work and love. But also start breaking some more Christian rules that would put them at the spot light at their high school. With some more twist and turns that would have them constantly having so much fin while suffering from so much pressure around them. How much can this girls take?
Maddie and Anjelica have such an amazing chemistry and they surely know a lot about comedy timing bringing to life this smart, funny, loyal and lovable sisters.
Their parents (played by Virginia Williams and Macenzie Astin) seem to be the good cop and the bad cop on a very tight Christian home, but they also not invulnerable to having some miss steps here and there on the strict Christian society rules. This actors also have good chemistry between them and as a family making it very enjoyable.
But mostly Bowser and Yolanda (played by Shirley Rumierk) the bounty parents of this girls bring so much fun to the story that I repeat traps you from the very first episode.
Don't be fooled by this blonde cute teens, this is a comedy with some more than meets the eye. I'm pretty sure this series has at least three more seasons to go. Considering that streaming series apparently now only get as far as a fourth season.
