This month is usually plagued with cancellations for my playlist this year wasn't full of casualties. Mostly because I gave up with a number of network tv shows and try to focus on streaming platforms. But oddly enough the pandemic might have helped save some shows that otherwise would have been cancelled. Since the pandemic hit just as pilot season was beginning networks didn't have enough material to work on. The CW still has on the bubble somme of his shows like Katy Keene and some pilots are still somewhat alive, like Green Arrow And The Canaries, but again every day that goes bye without an official announcement is a day closer to die.

Still here are my three May casualties.

- The Purge (USA Network) after two good seasons this horror series in the world of the cinematic universe was cancelled. True it wasn't a memorable one, but I though it was entertaining, and the second season I really liked the pace and the way they told the story. The nature of the series made it as an anthology series, that would follow a different group of characters during purge night every season. If you find this series on the catalogue of a streaming platform you can check it out, that's if you are a fan of the genre.

- Treadstone (USA Network) After the first episode I described this series as the straight version of Sense8 and as the Netflix series, the straight version followed the same path of cancellation. An interesting story but with some production challenges and way too much locations I'm sure made this series expensive, maybe not Sense8 expensive, but enough so the network decided to pull the plug on this one. Treadstone followed the story of some individuals that were living normal lives until they were activated by a trigger word. Then they act upon programming to kill a specific target. This spies where all over the world on a project that was suppose to be dead, until someone starts activating the subjects. The series wasn't as fun to watch but it had a decent production, good story and great cast and performances, but it was a little bit slow and got kinda boring at times. But I still was surprised by the cancellation.

- Single Parents (ABC) a couple of days ago I wrote my review on the second season of this TV series and even thought that it could become the next Modern Family, the series was cancelled after I wrote that and was surprised by ABC's decision to pull the plug on this comedy. I'm hoping that Leighton Meester finds a new series soon, she has proven to have good comedy skills, but would like to see her in something more serious.

This doesn't look to be a slow summer a bunch of new series started rotation on a weekly basis and my reviews on them would arrive this June / July.

DC Universe: Harley Quinn, Stargirl. Both of them seem on track for an A grade, unless tragedy strikes on Stargirl who only has two aired episodes at the time of this post. The animated series Harley Quinn is in its second season already and its almost over, as fun and bloody as the first season. Not your typical animated feature.

Starz: Vida the last season of this amazing dramedy I am so obsessed with Melissa Barrera and can't wait to see what projects come to her after this amazing series.

Showtime: Penny Dreadful: City Of Angels I liked Penny Dreadful and that is why I decided to give it a try to this other series, but things doesn't look to bright for them.

TNT: Snowpiercer I was really expecting this one, but so far with the couple episodes aired at the moment, I'm still not impressed.

HBOMax: Love Life I had to add to the playlist the first original from this streaming network, but gotta say not very promising . And also Legendary a ballroom reality competition series that blew my mind from the intro. Now I'm not really into realitys and I'm still deciding if I'm going to be reviewing this one, but I'm sure gonna watch it. I'm just hoping that RuPaul Drag Race fans don't fight over with the fans of Legendary, there is enough room to both shows to coexist, as long as their respective networks don't put them head to head at the same time.
