I added to my playlist this series, as soon as I read that Álex Pina creator of Money Heist was behind this project .
Zoe (played by Laura Haddock) is a British woman who travels to Ibiza 10 many years after his brother Axel (played by Tom Rhys Harries) went missing and never heard from him again. He looks up to the friends he mentioned on his calls to try and find out whatever happened to him. From ex girlfriends, friends and bosses, she uncovers a web of lies among the people that were close to his brother, and that maybe one or some of them were responsible of killing his brother.
The story is interesting, but there is something about the pacing of the story that gets boring at times. I wasn't impressed by how the story was told, there is a "wow" factor missing in the series, some episodes I found it hard to pay attention to it, there are not great or bad performances. But at the third episode I realized that this was nowhere near the sensation series Money Heist.
Some of the uncovered secrets went too far trying to shock us, and just made us not feel connected at all with the story or the characters.
There is also de problem for a second season, since they didn't leave that many room for keeping the story alive. Zoe is not a charismatic character that would invite you to continue watching her own journey. For a one and done series it might be ok and of course that is if you have nothing else to watch on your cue.
