After a very funny first season, this comedy returned for its second entry and I must confess it was a little bit more of the same. Is an episodic type of series, you don't really need to follow it religiously to get it. We had some good episodes towards the end of the season and I believe that Derek (played by Adam Brody) who is father for Graham (played by Tyler Wladis) and ex of Angie (played by Leighton Meester) was under used, there could be more storylines for him. Brody has good comedy skills, as well as Meester, but it probably would be more exploited on a third season. If they get the renewal, as of today the series is still on the bubble.

The adult cast is great, they've got great chemistry and now with Modern Family out of the way this could easily become the successor. They just need a few changes. The kids cast is much better than in the first season, and for this second one they gave them more room to explore and some very funny episodes with it.

The series also has the potential of having special cameo appearances that can tick up the intrigue or willingness to watch the series just to see what surprise they may have.

I do believe in Single Parents it was much fun and entertaining to watch than the last season of Modern Family that instead of being great, was probably one of the worst seasons. But they do need to shake things up so it doesn't feel like we are already watching a much older series.

I love Angie and Will (played by Taran Killam) and I don't know if I'm rooting for them to be a couple or not, other series that pair two of their leading characters romantically they just loose the magic. But Meester and Killam have definitely a lot of comedic chemistry.
