There was a lot of hype for season 2 of this series and I couldn't understand why. Like The Witcher this show got quite a following that loved it, but somehow I felt like I watched a whole different program. I just thought The Umbrella Academy was OK, but nothing beyond that.

Season 2 starts right at the cliffhanger they left us with the season 1 finale. The band of brothers back in the 60's but scattered around Dallas, Texas, right before president John. F Kennedy is killed. The mission seems to be stop the apocalypse again, and maybe while doing that saving Kennedy.

Just like season 1 the brothers don't trust each other and spend most of their time fighting each other, while the villains gain precious terrain and time. I found it tiring to once again see the brothers fight, when things seemed to be patching up at the end of last season, I enjoyed more the series when the brothers were nice with each other.

Kate Walsh is back as The Handler and I really like her performance, she is amazing as the villain of the story, her dresses, her over the top persona, seriously Walsh deserves another chance at a leading role or maybe we can juts bring her back to Grey's Anatomy, can't remember right now is she dead in that series? or we can totally write her back in?

From the brothers I don't really put aside anyone. All of them are good at what they do, of course some powers more interesting than others, and some lifes more interesting than others. But at this point in the series I'm still questioning what does exactly Klaus do? A good performance by Robert Sheehan but somehow his characters seems to be the weakest link of them I still don't understand what his powers are, or whats his deal with his substance abuse problem. His scenes were the ones that I hated the most this second season.

Also the muscles of Luther (played by Tom Hopper) are ridiculous, they look so fake that at times it feels like this series is a parody of another show. I had the same complain from season 1 and they didn't fixed it for this one. Would they try and do better with Luther for the third?

The series, starts so slow, we don't jump right into the action, the writers slowly builded up the momentum, like we are completely new to the characters. After episode four things start getting a little bit more interesting but is until episode 8 when things get to the good part. Episode 8 out of 10.

Most of the season I was just thinking how everyone seemed to get this series but me. It was boring and I just couldn't wait for it to be over. Those first three episodes felt like 6 and I was close to canceling this series. The B grade is actually a miracle, because this was going hard after a C score. But somehow those last three episodes almost saved the whole season. I mean almost, because actually saving it would have meant a B+ grade or higher. But the damage was already done for season 2, as much as it was for season 1.

We do have another cliffhanger at the end, hopefully next time around the series can jump right into the good stuff instead of boring us during the first half of the season.

It was a slow start of August and again I'm feeling like its been too long since I watched something good on TV or streaming platform. Next week comes the season finales of Doom Patrol and Stargirl and both series would definitely get A grades. Can we finally get something higher than an A- on the blog?
