This series went from the underdog of the Arrowverse to the star. Of course this year still was Arrow's Legends Of Tomorrow managed a photo finish second place, but since the Green Arrow had his final season back in January, it feels a long time ago and the Legends seem more than ready to rise to the occasion.

This series left the Arrowverse timeline to become their own thing, and since they weren't invited to the 2018 crossover, they seemed happy with the news and decided to go bananas with the story lines, which they kinda already were. This heroes don't take themselves very seriously and thats the best thing that happened to them

For the fifth season the Legends have to fight earth's mightiest villains from history, that are sent back from hell, as a revenge from Astra Logue (played by Olivia Swann) who was damned to hell after an exorcism gone wrong by Constantine (played by Matt Ryan) in the past.

This villains include Marie Antoinette (played by Courtney Ford) Ford also plays Nora Dahrk, and this were her final episodes in the series along with Brandon Routh who played Ray Palmer, since Arrow times. Ahead of starting production on the fifth season it was announced that this would be the last for this two characters. Brandon Routh was heartbroken by this decision and let us know that it wasn't his decision, but a production one.

This is not new for the show, since it began they change the roll call of the passengers of the Wave Rider. Its part of the fun of the show, to speculate about who's coming in and who's going out. They still haven't announced who is staying in Palmer's place. But maybe Astra could be a good addition to the cast.

For the finale another passenger of the Wave Rider decides to leave them behind, but I won't ruin you who that character is, in case you haven't watch it.

The whole season was consistent, with no boring episodes, always a fun adventure, and to distinguish even more from Supergirl, Batwoman and The Flash the Legends changed their intro and typography. This might not look big, but it was a change and a big message. From now on don't expect the legends to crossover with the rest of the universe that much.

Since being named Captain, Sara Lance has done an amazing job and Caity Lotz has proven to be an amazing actress with chops for comedy, drama and action. She is one of the key characters in the Arrowverse and with Mick Rory (played by Dominic Purcell) the last link the show has to it.

Talking about Mick he is one of the underdogs from the series, his participation might seem small but he always brings more comedic relief to the show. This season we got to see him in a new role, the role of a father, when he discovers he has a daughter, from one adventure he had while in a mission. And he wants to be the best role model as possible for his daughter Lita (played by Mina Sundwall) who can easily become a series regular of Legends Of Tomorrow.

Tala Ashe playing Zari came from someone that I didn't fully like in past seasons to the MVP of this season playing Zari 2.0. She gave a funny and strong performance that was valuable to each episode always bringing something to the table.

My only complain about the show is that I forget that they are heroes, they rarely suit up. Zari for example she doesn't even have a superhero suit or not that I remember. But at the same time is not really necessary that they suit up, in early seasons when they did it looked kinda forced and out of place. But still I would like to see them more wearing their superhero costume.

Legends Of Tomorrow a couple of seasons ago had me thinking that it might be cancelled, but surprisingly the series found it own place in this ever expanding universe. Now I don't see a cancellation anytime soon for the legends.

Brandon would be missed, as well as the other actor that left the series, but I cannot wait what surprises and new characters the next season would bring. The producers of the show promised a classic 80's b movies style for it.

The series gave us an amazing cliffhanger for the season finale and promises us an even crazier season six for the passengers of the Wave Rider, whomever they may be.
